The following notices provide the Staff Community with a policy interpretation, guidance and updates on collective agreements, classification, compensation and labour relations, as well as the guidelines of the Joint National Council (JNC). The principle of compensation continues to ensure that your compensation continues to be paid through the company in the event of illness, work-related accident or occupational illness, rest and convalescence. As an employee, you are required to inform your company of your inability to work as soon as you become ill or if you are the victim of an accident. Ask your family doctor for a medical certificate or a letter of illness (confirmation of sick leave or declaration of illness). You must agree to the date of your leave with your employer and obtain your consent. At work, find out when you should apply for annual leave. It is best to apply for an annual leave of absence. Workers may take compassionate leave to care for critically ill children or be with dying parents, or, in such cases, reduce or reorganize their working hours. Workers on compassionate leave are legally entitled to a dependent child care allowance.
I am friends with someone who has taken leave without pay at NRCan for a year and a half. In addition to their monthly salary, Austrian workers can also receive a leave bonus, the so-called 14th monthly wage cheque or leave pay if it is included in the collective agreement or employment contract. Special care and special care may be used part-time when the family member receives long-term care at Level 3 or higher or, for children under the age of 18, long-term care from Level 1 or in the case of dementia from a family member. A written agreement between the employer and the worker is required. Working time can also be reduced. In the first 6 months of your first year of employment, your entitlement to leave is prorated. From the beginning of the seventh month, you will receive the right to leave. From the second year of employment, the right to full leave is usually created from the beginning of the working year. Workers and apprentices are entitled to five weeks of paid annual leave per year of work. For working days, you are entitled to 30 days off or 25 working days, including Saturdays, per work year. I did a Fernmasters while I was a full-time EC at the ECCC, which required me to do two residencies. It was actually related to my work, but it was an MA.
For my stay, I took training leave (2 weeks) and unpaid (5 weeks) and none of my expenses (teaching/books) were covered. It was not in my learning plan. In your collective agreement, you will find confirmation of the conditions of leave for: If you get sick during your leave, these days are not considered leave. However, this is only the case if you are ill for more than 3 calendar days. You must inform your company immediately and present a medical certificate from your doctor (doctor). The distinction should be made between leave pay and leave pay.
